The MIB Legal Expenses Scheme is a unique service developed by FirstAssist
specifically for the Motor Insurers' Bureau. Applicable for uninsured
cases, it means
that neither
the victim, nor a solicitor's legal practice will be out of pocket
in an uninsured driver case, including:
- Drivers and passengers who are injured by an uninsured motorist
- Pedestrians and cyclists hit by uninsured drivers
The MIB Legal Expenses Scheme provides:
- Insurance to cover the cost of employing solicitors and, where appropriate,
barristers and other experts
- Financial support to meet legal costs awarded against the victim
If you are victim of an uninsured driver, you should
contact the
MIB to get a claim form, which can also be found at www.mib.org.uk,
fill it in and send it back to the MIB.
If you are a solicitor, all you have to do is the complete the MIB
Application Form in the usual way. This can be obtained from www.mib.org.uk
